Policy Express: The national policy subsidies for new energy charging piles are coming

The government actively promotes the development of new energy vehicles, among which the charging pile policy is a key link. In order to optimize the efficiency of power utilization and reduce costs, charging piles implement a peak-valley time-of-use electricity price strategy. This means that when the power demand is low, electric vehicles can be charged economically and efficiently through charging piles, which is a win-win for both users and the power grid.

Financial subsidies help construction

In order to encourage the installation and use of charging piles, governments in many places have taken subsidy measures. For example, Changzhou gives a subsidy of no more than 400 yuan per kilowatt for AC charging piles and no more than 600 yuan per kilowatt for DC charging piles. Shenzhen, Nanjing and other places have also formulated corresponding fixed subsidy policies based on local needs. In addition, newly built AC charging piles and low-power DC charging piles can enjoy a one-time construction subsidy of 50 yuan/kilowatt, aiming to accelerate the construction of charging facilities.

National subsidy standards

The national subsidy policy stipulates that the subsidy standard for charging piles is based on the rated output power, with a subsidy of 600 yuan/kilowatt for DC charging facilities and 300 yuan/kilowatt for AC charging facilities. At the same time, a supplement of 300,000 yuan per electrician position is provided for battery swap stations. Subsidies are paid ex post to support the sustainable development of charging infrastructure.

Community and platform support

For communities that install charging piles, property management will receive a one-time subsidy of 200 yuan per charging pile to encourage property management participation. At the same time, municipal new energy platforms will receive operating subsidies, with a subsidy standard of 50% of annual operating expenses and a maximum subsidy of 2 million yuan, aimed at improving platform operating efficiency and market services.

Long-term policy support

From 2016 to 2020, the central government continued to invest funds to provide incentives for the construction of charging infrastructure to support the prosperity and sustainable development of the new energy vehicle market.

The implementation of these policies not only helps to reduce the charging costs of new energy vehicle owners, but also provides strong policy support for the layout and optimization of charging facilities, further promoting the popularization of electric vehicles and the realization of green travel.
